Accepting his fate for the fundraiser, Jayden Angotti (12) gets soaked by the water bucket for his third time that day. At the annual tailgate on Sept. 13, Liberty's newly formed Link Crew chose a water bucket dunk tank to raise money. Angotti was an eager volunteer who suffered through the 40mph winds that day. "Yeah, the water was much colder than I thought it was going to be," Angotti said. The "Soak 'N' Wet" booth held by Link Crew was the third most popular booth at tailgate, according to a survey of students, with 12.5% of the votes.

On Sept. 12. during a game against Rampart High School, Addison Yochum (12) gets Izzy Alvarado (10) out by tapping her with the ball a split second before she hits the plate. Yochum contributed to the 14-13 win over the Rams on the Lancers' senior night.

After a long game against Discovery Canyon, Steven McAllister (11) gets hyped to celebrate his long-awaited goal with his two teammates Zane Anderson (12) and Jose Neal (12). The Lancers took home the win against Discovery Canyon Thunder on Sept. 9. with a score of 4-0. "It felt good to get one in the back of the net," McAllister said. "It's fun to always be coming up with celebrations during practices and I just chose to do that one.".

Reaching for more plastic balls, Thomas South (10) attempts to win the sophomores more points for the class competition during a game of "Hungry Hungry Hippos" at the Homecoming Pep Rally. The Pep Rally was held on Sept. 14, and competition filled the air as classes competed for the Spirit Stick. The juniors eventually came out on top, a surprise to the gym, as seniors are typically the victors of class competitions.

After finishing the 50 Free against Air Academy on March 20, Peter DuMaine stops in complete shock to look at his score. DuMaine beat his personal record with a score of 28 seconds that day. "I felt like I was going faster than I normally do," DuMaine said. "I was shocked at the score. It was 28 seconds. It was my personal record. I felt like my hard work paid off from practice.". DuMaine swam so fast that other teammates reported seeing him waiting at the wall for a while before others finished in their lane.

Dancing with her boyfriend, Katherine George (12) screams the lyrics to "FE!N" by Travis Scott. Liberty's Homecoming Dance was held on Sept. 14. in the Liberty gym with the theme of "Gotham City". "I'm so glad I got to be around the people I love the most," George said. "Especially since it's my senior year.".

Performing arts

Looking off into the distance, Kenneth Christiansen (10) leads his men into battle, as he performs his solo in "Be A Man" from Mulan. This years' Scarborough Fair was held on Jan. 16 and 17 where all 420 seats were sold out. The theme, alternating every two years, was Disney Classics. Christiansen performed this number with numerous of his male co-stars, who contributed with intricate fight choreography and props in the background. "I felt powerful and strong and mysterious," Christiansen said.

With power in his stroke, Cole Sohn (10) competes in the 50 Free against Air Academy High School. The Lancers came on top of the Cadets in the 50 Free on March 20. Despite swimming with all his strength, Sohn finished fifteenth with a time of 00:36.67 seconds.

Cheering and yelling with her peers, Emilia Svatos (12) screams with the rest of the senior section at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Sept. 14. Homecoming brought the spirit and competition to students at the beginning of the year and the seniors especially were hyped up during the assembly activities and games.

During the Elite Dance Ensemble group number, Audry Sohns (11) and Julia Ropeter (12) display synchronized duo work while performing. On Nov. 14. numerous dance clubs and classes competed in a choreography competition in the auditorium. "While on stage performing, I felt very anxious and scared," Sohns said. "I look up to a lot of the people who watched us.". Dancers were tasked with creating a captivating dance to a song that was 1-2 minutes long. The judging criteria was based on skill and execution. Sohns won first place for the "Judges Choice" category.

Fighting off the "Fairy Queen", played by Emilia Draney (12), Ana Barringer (12) flinches from a punch. Barringer portrayed the character "Tilly Evans" in the fall play of "She Kills Monsters". The fall play was held on Oct. 15. and followed a young girl through her grief of losing her sister. The play switches between the real world that Tilly Evans lives in, and the fantasy D&D world that her late sister had imagined. "I think my favorite performance was closing night," Barringer said. "Everything falls into place and it all feels so surreal. Emotions are all heightened on the last night.". This was Barringer's final play with the Liberty High Schools Theatre Company. "Being a lead was absolutely amazing," Barringer said. "I was worried I wouldn't get a part at all. So, being able to portray such an important character was a whole new level.".
